Key Ingredients
Chicken, sweet potato, peas, salmon oil (DHA source), linseed. Higher calorie and protein content than adult formulas.
Ingredient Breakdown
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) from salmon oil is critical for brain development in puppies under 6 months. The first 16 weeks are a key neurological development window. Calcium and phosphorus must be in a specific ratio, not just at high levels, to prevent metabolic bone disease.
Who Is This Food For?
Good for
Puppies from weaning up to 12 months (up to 18-24 months for large and giant breeds). All breeds in their growth phase.
Not ideal for
Adult dogs over 12 months or senior dogs. The higher fat and protein content in puppy food is not appropriate for adults and can contribute to weight gain.
How to Transition Your Dog onto This Food
When bringing a new puppy home, continue the breeder's food for the first week, then transition over 10-14 days. Puppies have sensitive digestion and the stress of a new home makes gradual transitions even more important.
Feeding Guide
Puppies need 3-4 small meals daily up to 6 months, then twice daily from 6 months onward. Transition from breeder food gradually over 7-10 days to avoid digestive upset.
