Why It's Dangerous
Dogs metabolise alcohol far more quickly than humans and their bodies have very little tolerance. Even small amounts from beer, wine, spirits, or fermented food can cause serious intoxication, respiratory failure, and death. Never assume "just a little" is harmless.
Symptoms to Watch For
- Vomiting
- Disorientation and stumbling
- Slow or difficult breathing
- Seizures
- Coma in severe cases
