Why It's Dangerous

Coconut water has very high potassium content : far higher than coconut flesh or oil. Excess potassium (hyperkalaemia) can interfere with heart rhythm. A tiny accidental sip is unlikely to cause harm but regular consumption or large amounts are dangerous.
