Ice cream is problematic on multiple levels: lactose for intolerant dogs, high sugar content, and the risk of containing xylitol (in sugar-free versions) or chocolate. Even vanilla ice cream is not safe as a regular treat.
Check ingredients for xylitol or chocolate : if present, contact your vet urgently. Otherwise monitor for digestive upset.
