Why It's Dangerous
Miso is a fermented soybean paste extremely high in sodium. Some varieties may also contain other seasonings. Large amounts can contribute to sodium ion poisoning.
Symptoms to Watch For
- Excessive thirst and urination
- Vomiting
- Diarrhoea
- Lethargy
- Seizures in severe, large-quantity cases
