Raw and green potatoes (including the skin of greening potatoes) contain solanine, a natural defence toxin. Cooking destroys solanine so fully cooked, plain potato is safe. Never feed raw potato or potato with green patches.
Call your vet if a significant amount of raw or green potato was eaten.
