If in doubt, always call your vet or the Animal Poison Line immediately.
Capsaicin in chilli and other spices irritates the lining of a dog's mouth, stomach, and intestines. Dogs cannot taste spiciness the same way humans do but the physical irritation affects their digestive system significantly. Curry, hot sauce, chilli, and spiced meats should always be kept away from dogs.
Offer plenty of water. Monitor and contact your vet if symptoms are severe or prolonged.
