Dogs do not need added sugar in their diet. Regular sugary treats lead to obesity, dental disease, and over time can contribute to insulin resistance and diabetes. Some sugar-free alternatives contain xylitol which is far more dangerous.
Switch to dog-appropriate treats. Have your dog's teeth checked regularly by your vet.
