How to Feed Oranges to Your Dog
Oranges are safe for dogs in small amounts. They are high in vitamin C, potassium, and fibre. Always remove the peel, seeds, and pith — the oils in orange peel can cause digestive upset. Start with one or two segments to see how your dog reacts, as the citric acid can cause stomach upset in some dogs. Due to high sugar content, oranges should be an occasional treat only. Avoid orange juice as it is too concentrated in sugar and acid.
