How to Feed Pears to Your Dog
Pears are a healthy snack for dogs, rich in vitamins C and K, copper, and fibre. Always remove the seeds and core — pear seeds contain trace amounts of cyanide. Cut into bite-sized pieces to prevent choking. Both ripe and slightly firm pears are fine. Avoid canned pears as they are packed in sugary syrup. One or two slices per day is appropriate for most dogs.
